The fish here is probably the best we have had. The batter was light, the fish size excellent. Really tasty, fresh and hot. Head and shoulders better than the fish bar in anstruther.
Great fish and dog friendly
Best fish and chips by far: crispy batter, flaky fish, very tasty chips. What more can you ask for and on top of that it’s dog friendly.
One word: DELICIOUS
Popped in with some overseas visitors who were desperate to try out a fish supper. The haddock was to die for and the days special (cod, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce) was out of this world. Nearly forgot to mention the extra portion of king prawns 🍤 to share: Devine!

My wife and I both ordered the Fish and Chips and were both really happy with our food. The fish was really great, so happy we stopped in. And the people running and working there ! Thanks Haleem and Wendy e we enjoyed our time there a lot.
Fish n Chips.. YES
Fresh haddock! Airy and with vinegar…. Superb. We stopped in for a quick bite to get us to dinner with all our walking. Owner was kind and helped us with must see sites to visit.

Fish and chips, King prawns were fantastic and fresh. Service was excellent and fast. Music played was refreshing. The chips were excellent cooked with skin.

My experience was a clear 10/10.Customer service was through the roof.The cashier was so incredibly kind!The food is delicious,I definitely recommend eating fish and chips with garlic mayo.The fish was crispy and juicy on the inside,it was even better with the lemon.The calamari was SO good , my entire family LOVED it.In conclusion Cromars is THE place to eat if you’re passing by st.Andrews.

I was at Cromars in June with my friends and I couldn’t thank all the staff enough for their hard work for making our food. Couldn’t fault the food either.
AMAZING
Cromars is by far the best place for fish and chips in the whole of svotland! Don’t know how anyone could fault their portion sizes fish was huge and a generous box of chips, left feeling full and satisfied. The shop wast so busy and each staff meneber was working so hard will be back again shortly 🙂
Best fish and chips in Scotland
This spot is great for a quick spot to eat! Fish is so fresh and the chips are to die for! They have a great variety for anyone who doesn’t like fish like my daughter and she chose the Mac and cheese it was so creamy couldn’t fault it. This place is for sure a must. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Brilliant atmosphere
Brilliant attmosphere and even better food. Staff are so attentive and place is kept very clean. Food is amazing and worth the money. Fish was huge with crispy batter and chips were fluffy on the inside look forward to coming back. Got recommended by our tour guide I’m so glad we tried it out.
